Fill
Select faces, pick a color, press Fill. The Effect dropdown adds glow, glass, or metal.
Fill colors faces. Tap the faces, pick a swatch, then press Fill. Fill is the first tool on the Color tab, before Pattern, Paint, Skins, and Light. The Fill button is in the page’s header bar, beside its name. The form holds an Effect dropdown and the swatches. A row of palette chips is between them.
Selecting never changes the fig, and neither does picking a color, a pattern or an effect. Only the Fill and Apply buttons do. Faces you select for Paint stay as they are, whatever color you pick to paint with.
Tap to select
A tap in the Color tab selects. Tap a face and it tints pink. Tap another face to add it. Tap a selected face again to deselect it. Tap empty space to clear the whole selection. Faces in one group (a stamped sticker) select together. The status line shows the count (3 selected. Fill, Apply or Paint works on them · tap a face again to drop it).
The Select bar on the right edge of the screen adds Brush (drag across faces to add them, while the bar is open), Piece, All, and None, and the three apply items: Fill, Pattern, and the selected effect.
Pick a color, then Fill
Tap a swatch to choose the color. The Fill button in the header bar shows that color and reads how many faces it will color, for example Fill 3 faces. Press it and the selected faces take the color. The selection stays, so an effect can be applied next. With nothing selected the button is greyed.
The swatches are the 28 colors of the selected palette. See Palettes . Press and hold a swatch to swap it for a color from a grid of lights, mids, darks, and neutrals.
The Effect dropdown
The dropdown above the swatches holds None, Light, Water, Shiny, Glass, Paper, Cardboard, Metal, Sparkle, and Clear. A color and an effect stay selected together: the swatch sets the color, the dropdown sets the effect.
With an effect selected, an Apply button for it appears beside Fill in the header bar (for example Apply Light). Select faces and press it: they take the effect and keep their color. Press it again and the effect is removed. Brush, Piece, and All on the Select bar select many faces at once. Sparkle marks the color, not the face, so every face in that color glints. Clear removes every effect from the selection.
In the Flat and Pixel looks the list holds None, Light, Glass, Sparkle, and Clear. See Effects for what each one looks like.
The Apply row
Open the Select bar. Its Apply row reads Fill, Pattern, and the selected effect (Light when none is selected). Each button applies one thing to the selection and keeps it:
- Fill applies the swatch color.
- Pattern applies the pattern selected under Pattern .
- The effect button applies the effect. The faces keep their color. Press it again and the effect is removed.
A face holds one look. Filling a face removes any pixel art and any effect on it, and opening Paint on a filled face starts from the fill color.
