The TV is a one-trick build, and the trick is a good one: In doesn’t just sink a face, it insets it first, leaving a raised frame around a recessed panel. Which is to say: a screen, in one press.

1. Stamp and size the set

A Cube on open floor, then Size it wider than it is tall. Old-TV deep or flatscreen thin; your era, your call.

2. Push the screen in

Switch to Grow, tap the front face, and press In once. The front sinks into a neat recessed panel with a frame around it; the inset happens automatically, so the whole face becomes a screen-in-a-bezel without any careful selecting.

3. Color it, and put something on

Fill the body dark and the recessed screen a lighter glow color, plus one power-dot. Then the best part: open Paint on the screen and draw what’s playing: a sunset, a game, static. A TV showing something is ten times the Flatling a blank one is.

Bonus idea: give the screen a few paint frames and the show actually plays, two frames a second, right in Preview .
