Making things for Roblox usually means Blender, UV maps, cages, and a wall of tutorials that assume you already know the words. Ünflat is the version where you just make the thing. Start from a template, paint it with a real pixel-art tool, and a plugin drops it into Roblox Studio for you. No desktop 3D software, no format wrangling: the same tap-to-shape, paint-on-the-surface app, pointed straight at Roblox.

Start from a template, not a blank page

Open the Patterns tab and there’s a Roblox clothes shelf waiting: a blank shirt, pants, and t-shirt, plus a few pre-styled pieces (a plain tee, a hoodie, a pair of jeans) ready to recolor. Each blank is a little 3D garment on a body, not a confusing flat sheet, so painting a sleeve means painting the sleeve. The classic first-timer mistake, art sliding onto the wrong panel, can’t happen here.

Paint with a real pixel-art tool

This isn’t a color picker bolted on. It’s the full Ünflat paint suite, the same one artists use for everything else:

  • Pixel-perfect drawing and dithering, so your shirt art stays crisp and sharp at any size: real pixel art, not a blurry fill.
  • Pull from the pattern library or draw your own seamless tiles in Pattern Studio: plaid, camo, polka dots, stripes that line up.
  • Rip textures from real photos: snap a picture of a fabric, a sticker, a texture you like, and stamp it straight onto the garment. Your camera roll becomes your material library.

From app to avatar in a few taps

When it’s done, export a Roblox-ready image and you’re most of the way there. Our Studio plugin takes it the rest of the way: pick your file, and it puts the clothing on a test dummy so you can see it on a body before anything else happens. Free, instant, no account needed.

Clothing is where it starts, but it’s not where it stops. Avatar accessories work too: hats, hair, backpacks, wings, props. Build the shape in Ünflat, pick the slot, and export a .lowpoly file. The plugin reads that file and hands the piece to Roblox’s fitting tool ready to wear. Everything you make in the app comes out sized and shaped for the body it’s going on.

Connect your Roblox account, upload in one tap

Here’s the part that usually needs a computer and a web form. Connect your Roblox account once and it’s done. It works like “Sign in with Google,” so you tap a button, approve it on Roblox’s own page, and you’re back. We never see your password, and your creations upload to your account, not ours. After that, sending a shirt or pants design to Roblox is a single tap, right from the app, on the same tablet you painted it on.

One honest detail: the tap uploads the clothing sheet as a Decal. It lands at create.roblox.com under Development Items › Decals, not in your avatar inventory, and Roblox checks it for a few minutes first. The Studio plugin builds that decal into wearable clothing from there. Accessories do not use the one-tap lane: they travel as a .lowpoly file through the plugin.

Connecting is optional, and it’s a Roblox feature that needs a 13+ account. We’ll tell you that up front, everything else in Ünflat works either way, and the Studio plugin road above stays free, instant, and account-free.

Walkthroughs that don’t assume you already know

Every step has a walkthrough on the site: making a shirt, seeing it on a body, wearing it in a game, and, when you’re ready, putting it on the Marketplace. The Marketplace ones are honest about the parts that cost Robux and the parts that need a grown-up’s help, so nobody’s surprised. We wrote them for the kid we couldn’t find a good tutorial for.

Honest about what it is

Trying your creations on and using them in your own experiences is free and works from the tablet. Selling on the Roblox Marketplace is Roblox’s own process: it happens on a computer, costs a small Robux fee, and needs identity verification (a linked parent account counts). We hand you off to it cleanly and tell you exactly what to expect; we don’t pretend the paid, grown-up part is something it isn’t.

Made something great?

Share it to the Made with Ünflat gallery, where remixes carry your @name with them, and we might feature it. And keep an eye on the Ünflat Obby: soon you’ll be able to send your creations straight into a Roblox world and see other people wearing them.

One line on limits: Roblox avatars are Roblox’s bodies. Ünflat makes the classic clothes and the accessories they wear, the props and buildings they walk among, and the NPCs they meet.

Try it with your roblox creators.
