The Closet

The Closet is a page of Add › Details. It lists the fig’s clothes and its outfits. A piece of clothes is a part the fig can put on and take off. An outfit is a set of clothes under one name, and the fig wears one outfit at a time.

Open the Closet

Open Add › Details. Under OUTFITS, tap an outfit: the fig wears it and the Closet page opens. A fig with no clothes yet has a Closet row under CLOTHES instead. A part’s Clothes group also holds Open the closet.

Outfits

The Outfit dropdown lists the fig’s outfits with their piece counts. Choose one and the fig wears it. New outfit, at the foot of the list, adds an outfit that starts as a copy of the worn one, up to 6.

The foot of the page acts on the worn outfit:

• Rename.
• Copy to another fig.
• Remove this outfit. Removing an outfit never removes clothes.

Once the fig has two or more skins , a Skin with it dropdown appears. Choose a skin and wearing the outfit applies that skin too. As is leaves the skin alone.

The clothes list

Its clothes lists every piece of clothes, sorted by kind. A checked line is in the worn outfit; an unchecked line is off and stays in the closet. Tap a line to open it. One line is open at a time.

• In this outfit: Worn or Off.
• Kind: Hat, Wear, Hold, or Extra. The kind sorts the list and nothing else.
• Worn on: the part that carries the piece. The piece goes where that part goes in every pose and move. Nothing means it stays put when the fig moves.
• Save as clothes any fig can use: saves the piece to your figs as its own fig.
• Make it a body part again: removes the clothes tag. The part stays on the fig.

A part made into clothes is assigned to the part it touches most, so a hat placed on the head reads on Head without any setup.

Add clothes

Each row names the part in a dropdown, and the choice applies at once. New clothes are added to the worn outfit. With no outfit yet, Outfit 1 starts.

• A part: a part the fig already has becomes clothes.
• A cover on: a fitted cover grows over the chosen part.
• A fig on: a fig from your library is sized to the chosen part and attached to it.

A cover on and A fig on also offer Tap it on the fig…. Choose it, then tap the part on the fig. Stop cancels the armed tap. See The tailor .

Copy to another fig

Copy to another fig copies the whole outfit to the fig you select. The app saves your work and opens that fig wearing the outfit, every piece resized and positioned by best guess (hats go to the head). Adjust anything that is out of place. The clothes keep their own paint. A closet holds 6 outfits; a full closet blocks the copy.

Hidden clothes

While the Closet page is open, clothes that are off in the worn outfit show see-through on the body. Tap one to add it to the worn outfit.

Where outfits show up

• Scenes: tap a placed fig and its Picked page has a Wearing row listing the fig’s outfits. As saved keeps the outfit selected in the editor. The same row is in Everything in this scene .
• Animate: with two or more outfits, a Wearing dropdown is at the top of the Animate tab, so you can switch outfits while posing. Press and hold Hold to peek and every piece of clothes that is off shows see-through, following the pose. Release and the worn outfit returns.
