Build a diorama
Put your Flatlings together in a diorama. A stage, a room, a little world.
Dioramas are where Flatlings meet. From the home screen’s Dioramas tab, a diorama opens as a dual-screen workspace: the 3D world on top, and a drawer below with three tabs, Library, Backdrop, and Atmosphere. Two buttons float by the stage: the 🧸 roster card lists everything you’ve placed (see the roster ), and the 🗺 map opens the top-down view . A diorama can even live inside a real photograph: see Make a photo diorama .
Placing Flatlings
The Library shows your saved Flatlings as cutout stickers, filterable by the category on their passport . Tap a sticker, then tap in the diorama, or just drag the sticker straight out of the tray into the world. The Library also holds the Floors, Walls, and Ceilings pattern shelves that dress the Room.
Placement is forgiving on purpose: a colored footprint shows where the piece will stand (green for a free spot, amber where it overlaps), and a piece dropped somewhere it can’t stand slides itself to the nearest spot that works.
The Backdrop
The Backdrop tab picks the world: Theatre, Room, Street, Space, Island, or Photo. A Ground section sets the ground size, and in the Room it toggles the Floor, Walls, and Ceiling on and off, each wearing a pattern picked from the Library shelves.
Same friends, still alive
A placed Flatling keeps everything you gave it: its triggers fire in Preview, its flip-book plays, and copies can wear different outfits . One Flatling can stand in a diorama a dozen times, each copy dressed and posed its own way.
Dioramas save and undo just like Flatlings: 💾, auto-save, ↩ ↪, and ✔ Done back to the home screen. The diorama’s own 📸 button opens the Photo studio for the finished shot.
