Design challenges

Design challenges arrive as mail in the Inbox on the Today tab. Up to three characters write in each week, each asking for a place. Their requests are pinned at the top of the mail. An unopened request shows a sealed envelope and request. One you took on shows an open envelope and in progress. A finished one is removed from the list. New requests come on Monday.

• Boris’s spooky attic
• Yuki’s night konbini
• Coco’s boutique show
• Gus’s big dinner
• Nia’s new room
• Momo’s classified ad
• Pip’s train ride
• Momo’s town square
• Boris’s fair night
• Yuki’s shrine path

Tap a request to open the character’s email. Tap Help out and the character makes the request, one speech bubble at a time. Next ▸ shows the next bubble. On the last bubble, Accept accepts the challenge and Not now cancels. The challenge opens as a scene with the character’s set on the Figs tab’s shelf. The shelf’s dropdown starts with an entry named for the character (Momo’s set). A request you already started says Return and opens its scene.

A locked centerpiece

Three challenges come with a locked centerpiece. Its page says Part of the story with a padlock. It does not move and cannot be removed.

• Coco’s boutique show: dress the friend on the runway.
• Gus’s big dinner: plate the banquet table.
• Nia’s new room: decorate around her bed.

Finishing a challenge

Place enough of the set’s pieces and a card opens. It reads Set complete. and adds a line from the character. The character always accepts what you built. The challenge is also added to your idea card, which lists the set’s pieces, so you can leave a half-built scene and return to it.

A challenge scene is a full scene . Place anything next to the set pieces, take photos, and keep working after the challenge is finished.
