See inside
Open the walls nearest the camera to look into a room
See inside opens the walls nearest the camera and lifts away the floors above the one you are on, so the rooms are visible from any side. The same five views work for one building, on its page, or for every building at once, behind the On display door in Atmosphere .
Every building is a dropdown with five views, and each building’s own Peek has the same five:
- Whole: nothing hidden.
- Roof off: the roof lifts away.
- Front: the one wall facing the camera drops.
- Follow: the walls on the camera’s side drop, with the doors and windows in them and the corner posts on that face, and the open side follows the camera. Turn to the far side and the walls swap.
- See inside: Follow, and everything above the floor you are on lifts away too: the storeys above the floor the map’s floor tab shows, the ceiling over it, and the roof. On a one-floor building the ceiling and roof go. Change the map’s floor and the cut follows.
Hold this side keeps the open side where it is while you turn the camera, for the scene’s view and for a building’s own.
These are display states: nothing is deleted or saved, and Whole puts every wall, floor, ceiling and roof back.
The scene’s view and a building’s own combine. The scene’s view is the minimum: a building’s own view can only cut more. Whole on one building does not undo the scene’s cut; Roof off on a building while every building is on Follow loses its roof and its near walls; a Floors cap still caps.
One building at a time
A drawn building has its own peek. It is in two places:
- On World › Build, set What to Building on the Select bar and tap the building on the map. Under This building, Peek selects Whole, Roof off, Front, Follow or See inside. With two or more floors, Floors selects All floors or Up to floor N, which lifts the storeys above away. On another World page, a tapped building keeps a short card with the same two rows.
- On the Figs tab, tap the building’s row under BUILDINGS. Its page has the same two rows under PEEK INSIDE: Peek reads Whole, Roof off, Front, Follow, See inside, and Floors is a dropdown too: All floors, Up to floor N.
These are display states too: the whole building is still there when you save.
