The tabs

The fig editor has six tabs: Add, Build, Adjust, Color, Animate, and Camera. Tap a tab to open its window: the tool list on the left, the open tool’s controls on the right. Tap a word in the list to switch tools. The window does not cover the fig.

Camera opens the camera over the stage. Tap any other tab to close it. See The Camera .

The scene editor has its own tabs: Figs, World, Animate, Atmosphere, and Camera. See Build a scene .

The status strip

The strip along the bottom of the window shows a hint for the open tool, or Ready when there is none, then the face count, the grid size, and Saved ✓ once the work is saved. With faces selected, the face count becomes the number selected. The scene editor’s strip counts figs, tiles, and moving figs.

The camera

One finger on a shape acts on the shape. One finger on empty space turns the camera. Pinch with two fingers to zoom. Drag with two fingers to slide the view.

Undo and redo

Undo and Redo are at the end of the menu row. When the row has no room for them, as on a narrow phone, they are in the top bar. They apply to modeling, colors, paint strokes, and poses.

Saving

There is no save button. The app saves as you work and again when you tap Done. The status strip shows Saved ✓ when the save is done.

The top bar

The top bar shows the fig’s name, grid size, and face count (Robot · 8³ · 24 faces). A new fig is named Untitled-1. To rename it, open Settings and type the name under This fig. Tap Ünflat in the top bar to list your last four figs, then tap one to open it.

The menu bar

The menu bar is under the top bar on every screen size. In the fig editor they read Fig · Reference · Look · Share · Settings · Help · Ideas. The home screen has a menu bar too: New · Settings · Help · Ideas. The first menu is named for what is being edited. Reference is the fig editor’s own; the rest are the same in both editors. A thin rule inside a menu splits its groups.

• Fig (the fig editor): New fig… and Rename…, then Showtime, then Save and close.
• Scene (the scene editor): New scene, Starter scenes… and Make a photo scene…, then Rename…, then Everything in this scene.
• Reference (the fig editor): an On | Off switch, then check rows for Side, Front, Back, and Floor plan, each with a picture button and a paint button. Under them are the Fade slider, Show (Behind the fig or Through it), and − + rows for Move, Size, and Turn. See Reference pictures .
• Look: the four render styles, Handheld, Lofi, Flat, and Pixel, with the current one marked. Tap one to switch. In the scene editor a rule follows, then No outline, Thin outline, and Ink outline. See render styles .
• Share: three rows that name where the fig goes: For a game: Roblox, .glb, sprites…, Into a photo, or AR…, and To the community, a friend, or a widget…. Tap one and the share card opens on that group’s options. In the scene editor the rows are For a game: Roblox, .glb…, AR, on your table…, and To the community, or a friend…. See Export a .glb .
• Settings: check rows for Sounds, Music, and, on a device with a vibration motor, Haptics. Tap a row to switch it. Under a rule, All settings… opens the Settings window. The window opens under the top bar. It has one row of folder tabs, General, Account, Look, Library, Roblox, Help and About, and shows one page at a time. On a narrow screen the tab row scrolls sideways. Look shows in the fig editor only. The window reopens on the tab you used last.
• Help: Tap for hints turns hint mode on: tap any button, switch, or the fig and a one-line hint says what it does. Nothing changes while hint mode is on. Tap it again to turn it off. Show tips turns tooltips on or off everywhere. Under a rule, Report a bug… opens the bug report sheet and About Ünflat… the about box. Only the fig editor’s Help menu has Tap for hints. • Ideas (the last word on every screen): This idea, or Start an idea… while there is none, All ideas…, and New idea…. See Ideas .
• New (the home screen): New fig…, New scene…, and New pattern….

Sideways

Turn the screen sideways and the window is on the left. The canvas fills the rest of the screen. Tabs, tools, and rows do not change. Phones stay upright.
