Render styles
Three ways the whole app can look: Pocket, Lofi, and Flat.
Ünflat draws everything through one of three render styles, switchable in the ⚙ settings sheet (and again in the diorama’s Atmosphere tab and the Photo studio , so a shot can try on all three):
- Pocket: the warm handheld look. Soft rounded lighting, a sky-blue haze, colors that glow a little. Feels like a toy you could pick up.
- Lofi: crisp and bold. Hard edges where the model is sharp, smooth where it’s round, saturated colors, a bright neutral backdrop. The “screenshot for the poster” style.
- Flat: a flat illustration. Solid color shapes, thick brown outlines, halftone-dot shading, a paper-cream page behind everything. Your 3D model becomes a picture-book drawing.
The style is a lens, not a property of the model. The same Flatling wears all three, and switching is instant and non-destructive.
World color
Right under Render mode in the editor’s ⚙ sheet sits World color: Auto keeps each style’s own sky, or tap a swatch (paper, peach, blossom, mint, sky, lavender, night, charcoal) to repaint the editor’s background and its haze. The pick is saved with the Flatling and survives style switches, so a midnight build stays midnight whether it’s wearing Pocket or Flat.
The editor’s ⚙ sheet also holds the Flatling’s name and the sound and music toggles.
Style pairs well with subject: chunky food and furniture love Pocket, characters pop in Lofi, and anything cozy turns magical in Flat.
