World resolution
Chonky, Balanced, or Crisp. The grid you pick at birth is the grid you build on.
When you create a new Flatling you pick its grid resolution: Chonky (8³), Balanced (16³), or Crisp (32³). That’s the size of the world the Flatling lives in, counted in blocks, and it’s locked in once you start building.

Everything in Ünflat snaps to this grid: where pieces stamp , how far a nudge steps, how deep a carve digs . The grid is why models always come out tidy. There are no almost-aligned edges or hairline gaps, because there’s nowhere off-grid for them to be.
Which to pick
- Chonky: big friendly blocks, decisions made fast. A great first-Flatling size, and a look of its own.
- Balanced: the everyday choice. Room for a face and fingers without drowning in detail.
- Crisp: four times the blocks of Chonky in every direction, for detail-heavy builds.
Finer isn’t better; it’s just smaller steps. Some of the best-looking Flatlings are Chonky on purpose.
