Starter worlds

Select one of nine worlds for a scene, from a bare stage to a photograph.

A world is the floor, the backdrop, and the room around a scene. Select one from the More worlds row of the worlds drawer. The drawer opens from the top bar’s Scene menu › Starter scenes….

Choose a world

  1. Open the top bar’s Scene menu.
  2. Tap Starter scenes….
  3. The drawer holds Starter scenes, Your backdrops, and More worlds. Tap a chip. Back to the map returns to the map.

The World tab’s Setting door does not select a world. Its one row is Base floor | Photo. Starter scenes and worlds open from the Scene menu for now. They are moving to the community library.

The kinds

  • Theater is the plain stage: a floor and a sky. Its Shape (Circle or Square) and its Size (Cozy, Classic, Grand, or Vast) are on Setting › Base floor.
  • Room is one interior with walls. Placed figs can hang on its walls.
  • Street, City block, Country road, and Field are outdoor stages with their own ground.
  • Space is dark and open, with no floor.
  • Island is a round stage ringed with sand.
  • Photo is your own photograph. See Make a photo scene .

The ground rows are on Setting › Base floor. Pattern size sets the size of the floor’s pattern. In a Room, Base floor adds Floor, Walls, and Ceiling rows, each On | Off.

A dollhouse

A dollhouse is a building you draw. On World › Build , draw a Room for the ground floor. Select the building and tap Add a floor twice. Turn Roof on and select Peaked. Then set Peek to Front: the walls that face the camera are hidden, on every floor.

Some design challenges open in an interior world: a finished house or shop with its own floors. The map shows one floor at a time there. These worlds are not in the More worlds row.

Starter scenes and your backdrops

Starter scenes are arrangements of land and pieces: Garden yard, Little house, Cozy room, and Pond meadow. They are also under Start from in New scene. A starter scene replaces the land and any buildings with its own. Placed figs stay.

Tap Save this backdrop to keep the current land and buildings as a starting point of your own. It appears under Your backdrops here and under Start from in New scene. The small cross on its chip removes it.

Switching worlds

Switching worlds keeps the placed figs and the land.

The World tab ‘s other doors shape the land, the buildings, and the scenery inside the world.
