The Pattern studio
Draw one tile that repeats forever. The seam simply can't exist.
The Pattern studio makes tileable pixel patterns: bricks, plaid, polka dots. Open it from the home screen’s Patterns tab with the ✦ new pattern card, or tap any of your patterns to keep working on it.
Strokes wrap around
The canvas is one tile (32×32 by default; tap the header label to switch to 16×16) and every tool wraps: draw off the right edge and the stroke continues in from the left. You never make a pattern seamless; it can’t be anything else. A live Tiled ×4 preview shows the repeat while you draw, and arrow buttons slide the whole pattern around, with a ◲ ½ half-offset that parks the seam in the middle of the canvas so you can paint right over it.
The tools
The toolbar is Paint ‘s, so your hands already know it: Pen, Fill (a fill crossing the tile edge floods as one region), Eraser, Line, Dither with the same two-tone dithers, and the 28-color palette with the blend ramp. Photo is here too, with framing, Warp it , and the retro dither panel, for turning a photograph of real fabric or brick into a tile. A pattern made from a photo keeps its recipe: the Edit warp chip in the Photo popout reopens the warp workspace with the dots right where you left them, whenever you come back.
Saving and using
Name it in the header and press ✔ Done. It lands in Your patterns, ready everywhere patterns work: dressing faces in the Color phase, the ▦ stamp inside Paint, and the diorama floor, wall, and ceiling shelves.
