Patterns

The Patterns tab

Find your patterns and textures, the starters, and the community's on one tab.

The home screen’s Patterns tab holds everything the Pattern studio makes. The switch at the top sets the side: Your patterns or Community.

Your patterns

The grid holds your plain patterns, with the New card first. Tap a pattern to open it in the studio. Its card back holds Edit, Rename, Duplicate, Paint with it, Add to idea, Share, and Delete. Paint with it asks Paint which fig?, then opens that fig in the Color tab with the pattern loaded.

The other kinds are on shelves under the grid, one per kind: Your stickers, Your murals, Your wall textures, Your ground textures, and Your photo textures. A shelf shows once you have made something of that kind. A wall texture’s card shows it on a wall piece, as the studio’s On a wall preview draws it. A saved Frame has no shelf here. It lists on a scene’s Frame row under Atmosphere › On display.

Below the shelves come the pattern shop display and the Roblox clothes shelf.

The toolbar

The toolbar under the Your patterns heading starts with Select and, with more than one pattern, ends with the sort, Newest ▾: Newest first, Name A–Z, or Oldest first.

Tap Select, then tap cards to select them, or press and hold a card to start with it selected. The status bar at the bottom shows the count. With Select on, the toolbar reads All, None, then:

  • Shelf ▾: moves every selected pattern to another shelf. A square pattern can become a Pattern, Ground pattern, Sticker, Mural, or Photo wrap. A wall-shaped one stays a Wall pattern, so the menu is greyed out when the selection mixes the two shapes. The move changes what the pattern is for everywhere it is used.
  • Export: one selected pattern saves as its own .pattern file. Several save as one .unflat file that opens on any device through Open a file on the New fig card.
  • Delete: tap once and the status bar asks Really delete 3 patterns? Tap Delete again. Tap again within 2.5 seconds.

Community

Starter patterns come first: twenty-six built-in patterns, including the roof and wall materials listed first in the Build tab’s wells. Tap one to open a copy in the studio, named after the starter with My in front (My Bricks). The original stays. Its card back says Opens as a copy. Make it yours.

All community patterns holds what other artists shared . Tap a card to flip it. Remix opens a copy in the studio with remix after its name, and the card keeps the maker’s @name. Applaud and Favorite are on the back too. To share your own, tap Share on its card back.

Pattern sheets are not on this tab. They are on the Your pattern sheets shelf in the photo popup. See Pattern sheets .

Where each kind shows

Patterns and ground textures show wherever the app offers a pattern: the Color tab’s Pattern , the Pattern stamp in Paint, the floors and land of your scenes , and the wells on Build. Wall textures show in the wall wells only, under WALL PATTERNS. Photo textures show in Paint’s Pattern stamp only. Stickers and murals show only in Add’s Stickers… picker and the Mural button in the Build page’s header.
