Your figs

Home is a grid of cards, one per fig. Tap a card to flip it to its record page . Tap it twice to open the editor. The title bar has the name, an edit button, and a share arrow. A finished fig shows a ✓. The card’s color follows the fig’s category. The top bar reads Ünflat and the open tab’s name; under it the menu bar reads New · Settings · Help · Ideas. New has New fig…, New scene…, and New pattern…. Settings has the Sounds, Music, and Haptics check rows and All settings…. See Getting around for every menu.

The six tabs

A bar along the bottom has six tabs. Today opens first.

• Today: your inbox , with this week’s design challenges pinned at the top; then Today's downloads , Your sets, and a Start here row: New idea (or My idea while one is active), Photo magic, Roblox clothes shop, New fig, New scene. Under that, the Snapshot of the day and Jump back in, the last three figs and scenes you worked on.
• Figs: your figs, with a Your figs | Community switch. The community side opens with the rigged bases .
• Scenes: your scenes , with a Your scenes | Community switch. With more than three scenes, vibe tabs filter them: All, Cozy, Nature, Silly, Spooky, Fancy, Retro. A Snapshots shelf and a Your clips shelf are under the grid; tap a clip to keep shooting.
• Patterns: your patterns , with a Your patterns | Community switch. Stickers, murals, wall and ground textures, and photo textures each get a shelf once you have some. The community side opens with Starter patterns.
• Learn: the Learn cards .
• Clips: the community’s clips, with no switch. Once you have a clip, a Your clips shelf is at the top. Clips are recorded in the scene editor’s Camera tab; see The Clips tab . When the community cannot be reached, the tab says so and offers Try again.

A shelf is one row of cards. Drag it sideways to view the rest.

The community has no tab of its own. It is the Community side of the switch on Figs, Scenes, and Patterns, and the whole Clips tab.

Inside the Figs tab

The first row starts with the dashed New card. With more than three figs, category tabs filter the grid: All, Furniture, Buildings, Vehicles, Nature, Food, Characters, Animals, Decor, Props, the categories a record page files a fig under, and, once you have collected one, Set pieces: the pieces of each set you have started, grouped by set with its count. On the Scenes tab a Sets category has the set rooms, each card showing its set’s stamp. The tab remembers your selection.

Under the tabs is the toolbar, starting with Select. At its end, with more than one fig, is the sort, Newest ▾: Newest first, Name A–Z, or Oldest first. Each tab keeps its own sort. The toolbar stays at the top of the page while the cards scroll under it.

Your 3D shelf takes a full row under the first cards; tap it to open it. The day’s snapshot shows as a tile two cards wide after the first dozen figs. Tap it to build the scene. With nothing finished yet, a line under the shelf says so.

Selecting many cards

Tap Select, then tap cards to select them. A selected card shows a ✓ in its title bar. Press and hold any card to start selecting with that card selected. A status bar at the bottom counts them (3 figs picked) and says what the next tap does. Tap Select again when you are done. On a phone the toolbar scrolls sideways. Flipping to the Community side ends the selection.

While Select is on, the toolbar reads All, None, then the actions:

• Category ▾: sets one category on every selected card, or None to clear it. The word shows the shared category when the selected cards have the same one. On the Scenes tab this is Vibe ▾, on the Patterns tab Shelf ▾.
• Finished: stamps every selected card Finished, which adds the figs to your shelf. When every one is already stamped, it removes the stamp. Patterns have no Finished.
• Export: one selected card exports as its own file (.fig, .scene, .pattern, or .set; a scene includes its figs and patterns). Several export as one .unflat file, named like 3-figs.unflat, that opens on any device through Open a file on the New fig card.
• Delete: tap once and the status bar asks you to confirm, for example Really delete 3 figs? Tap Delete again. Tap again within 2.5 seconds to delete. The app records a delete: a later Sync down does not bring the card back. Opening a backup file does. See Cloud sync .

Your parts

The Your parts row is under the first row of cards and lists the figs you saved as parts. Add one to any fig from Add › Parts in the editor. Roblox pieces get a Your Roblox clothes row the same way. Stickers are on the Patterns tab under Your stickers.

Starting a new fig

Tap New on the Figs tab or New fig on Today. The New fig card asks for a name, a kind, and a world. A fig with no name is called Untitled.

• What kind of thing?: the nine categories. Optional. Tap one again to clear it.
• How big a world?: Chonky (8³), Balanced (16³), or Crisp (32³). Tapping a row creates the fig. The world is locked once the fig has a shape in it. See World resolution .
• From a picture: the picture becomes a flat standing cutout, painted with it, on the Balanced grid. See-through pixels are holes. The back shows the picture mirrored. It opens on the Color tab, set to Ultra fine so the picture keeps its detail.
• Open a file: a .fig, .scene, or .set file, or a .unflat backup, including one exported from another device’s library. The same files open from outside the app: tap one in Files on an iPad or iPhone, or in a file manager on Android. A fig opens in the fig editor and a scene in the scene editor. Anything else is added to its shelf.

The free plan keeps 5 figs you made yourself. Starters, Today’s downloads, parts, and stickers do not count. Plus removes the cap.

There is no save button. The app saves as you work and when you tap Done.

The example figs

A new install starts with two example figs, Little House and Pine Tree. They are added once per device. Delete them and they stay deleted, even when the library is empty. The examples are starters, so they do not count toward the free cap.
