Cloud sync
Sync up sends your library to the cloud. Sync down brings it to this device.
Cloud sync is two buttons in the Cloud copy group on the Settings window’s Library tab: Sync up and Sync down. They need Plus and a signed-in account. Tapping one without Plus opens the Plus sheet.
- Sync up makes the same file as Back up everything and sends it to your cloud space. Each account has one cloud copy; syncing up again replaces it.
- Sync down adds the cloud copy to this device. Pieces made here and never synced stay. A piece that exists on both sides is kept, and the incoming copy is added beside it with “(backup)” in its name. Nothing is deleted by a sync. The app may reload after Sync down.
- Deletes are recorded. A piece you deleted on this device stays deleted: Sync down skips it, even when the cloud copy still contains it. To bring it back, open a backup file that contains it.
For two devices: finish on one and tap Sync up. On the other, tap Sync down. The note under the buttons shows the date of the last sync up and sync down from this device. If Sync down says there is no cloud copy yet, sync up from the other device first.
