The skill tree
Seventeen branches of Learn cards, a Start here shelf, and a live island map.
The Learn tab opens on Your Learn islands, a live 3D view with one island per branch. It fills with your figs as you finish cards (see Learn islands ). Under it: “Every card you finish is added to its island. Learn a technique, make your version, watch the world fill up.”
Below that is the skill tree: one shelf per branch, one card per lesson. There are seventeen branches and 80 cards, plus two on the Start here shelf.
A card shows its name, a picture, its step count, a level from 1 to 3, and the skills it teaches. Tap the card to flip it. The back lists STEPS and has its own Start.
The picture follows your progress. A locked card shows an ink silhouette of the build. An open card shows the build. Once you keep your own version , the card shows your fig. A scene card shows the scene you finished.
Start here
Above the branches is the Start here shelf, labeled First picks · Open to everyone, no unlocking. It holds Watermelon and Sandcastle, each with a Staff pick ribbon. New cards can be added to this shelf without an app update.
The building branches
Six branches teach the modeling tools, in order:
- Stacking: Reference Pictures, Snowman, Table, Robot, Twin Arms. Reference Pictures places a picture beside the stage and builds the big shapes to match it. Then Drop, Size, Move, Turn, Name it, and Mirror a copy.
- Shaping: House, Mug, Gift Box. Pull out , Select, and Color.
- Sculpting: Bust, Trophy, Vase, Mushroom, Tree, Nosy Buddy. Adjust , Pull out, Overlap, Cut , and Lift .
- Detailing: Pleated Skirt, Ice Cream, TV, Star, Birdhouse. Adjust, Push in , Pull out, and Pinch .
- Combining: Chair, Cactus, Instant Camera. Move, Pull out, Overlap, Adjust, Push in, and Tilt .
- Characters: Cat, Bird, Chibi. Mirror on, with Pull out, Pinch, Tilt, Cut, and Adjust.
The eleven always-open shelves
The other eleven branches never lock:
- Animated assembly: Buddy in Parts, Fox in Parts, Cut It Free. One piece for every part that moves, dropped touching the body: Drop, Turn, Move and Mirror a copy, then Animate finds the joints where the pieces touch. Cut It Free chops a pulled-out arm into its own piece with Keep set to Both.
- Photo skills: Window, Lucky Clover, Soup Can, Animated skin, Speech Bubble. See-through paint, photos on faces, animated skins, and typed words.
- Hair & skins: Haircut, Cozy Sweater, Skins. Shell for hair and clothes, then skins .
- Parts: Body Shop, Wildflowers, Stick a Part On. Save a piece as a part, Scatter, then stick a part on.
- Lights: Lantern, Streetlamp, Window Glow. Ball, Beam, and the Light brush. See Lights .
- Animate: Tune a Move, Bouncy Frog, Strike a Pose, Pinwheel, Treasure Chest, Swishy Hair, Sprout, Waggy Dog, Rig a Fig, Walk & Run, Move Sets. Tune a Move gives a part Sway under Idle loops, then turns the Amount and Speed dials and adds Springy. Rig a Fig opens a rigged robot instead of a blank canvas.
- Roblox: Roblox Shirt, Roblox Hat, Roblox Building. Roblox Shirt opens a shirt blank. Roblox Building opens a scene.
- Painting: Palettes, Glowing Photo, Lasso, Soft Eraser.
- Camera: Send It Out, Take Photo. Send It Out opens Share, finds the Game development row, downloads the .glb, and reads the note on what is included.
- Scene skills: Build on a Hill, Flat Render Mode, Four Flags, One Wind, Water Floor, Midnight, Frame It, Magic Tap, Rolling Hills, Garden Path, Windy Day, Little Cottage. Every card opens a fresh scene. Build on a Hill places a hill and draws one Room with Carve and one with On top. Flat Render Mode places a fig or two, selects Flat from the Look menu, turns on the Outline, and compares the looks. (Collecting a set is taught on the home screen itself, the first time you take a set piece: see Today's downloads .) Four Flags, One Wind assigns Rustle to four flat figs, tries Stagger, and sets the Timing.
- Clips: First Clip, Camera Moves, Sound & Words, Movie Magic, Movie Night, Talking Figs. Every card opens a fresh scene.
Cards that open a scene (all of Scene skills and Clips, plus Roblox Building) have no second half. The finished scene is your version.
Unlocking
The first branch is open. Inside a branch, cards open in order: finish a card’s guided build and the next card opens. Finishing a branch’s first card opens the next branch (Reference Pictures opens Shaping).
A locked card is dimmed, shows a padlock beside its name, and does not flip. Cards you can play glow. A finished card shows a check badge and its button reads ✓ Finished · Play again. Play again runs the guided build again.
Finishing a card’s guided build gives 1 star point, the first time only. See Stars and fans . No card needs Plus.
