The clip card

Select Clip on the first row of the Camera card. The card becomes the shooting window.

The list

The list on the left names the output in one row, Clip with the cut count under it, then three rows that open other pages: Clip organizer, Shot, and Look. A line under each shows its state, for example no sound yet or Free · 16:9. Tap the Clip row to return from any of them.

The card

The card holds the shoot face, the selected cut’s page, and the Cut! button, then the Camera row for the selected cut and the Figs row. The shoot face shows the last cut’s picture, N cuts so far, Take back the last cut, and Ghost.

Ghost shows a faint copy of the selected cut over the frame, to pose the next moment against. It does not appear in anything you save. It stays on until you turn it off.

The strip

The strip is a band under the frame: Play, one numbered thumbnail per cut, a + that cuts, the music chip, which reads + ♫ before a song is set and ♫ after, and the share chip ↗. Tap a thumbnail to select that cut. The scene returns to it and its page opens in the window. Press Cut! or + and the new cut is added after the selected cut, with its page open in the window. Tap the music chip to add a song or open its card. Tap ↗ to open Share video . In landscape, the window is on the left and the band stays under the frame.

After the first cut the hint reads Adjust the scene, then capture again. Tap ♫ for music, ↗ to export.

While the strip plays, the window’s rows are hidden and Play becomes a stop button. Tap anywhere to stop.

The cut’s page

The selected cut’s page has a heading such as Cut 2 of 5 · 1s and holds the cut’s rows: Move; the Doing, Talking, and Then rows when the cut has figs that can use them; the chips + Sound, + Story, and Hold; and Re-cut, Duplicate, and Delete. See The cut's camera .

Clip organizer, Shot, and Look

• Clip organizer edits every cut at once and holds the share, music, narration, and frame rows. It is dim until the clip has a cut.
• Shot sets the shape, focus, and angle.
• Look holds the Style, Lens, Glow, and Film rows.
