Frames in a clip

A clip can have a frame in front of the shot: one of the app’s frames, or a flat sheet you painted. It is the same frame the scene’s Frame it uses.

Adding a frame

Frame is a row on Clip organizer . It opens the Frame face with one chip per choice: None, the app’s frames with the shape each was made for after its name, the frames you made as a pattern of the Frame kind, and any flat sheet in the selected cut. A Plays row sets This cut or Whole clip. Words are drawn over the frame.

One frame, one shape

A frame is made for one shot shape: 1:1, 4:5, 16:9, 9:16, or 3:2. Adding a frame sets the shot’s shape to match, and the hint says so. Selecting another shape on Shot removes the frame.

Make a frame

Make a frame… is one of the scene’s Frame it chips. It starts a blank sheet fig at the shape you select. Paint it, place it in the scene, and it appears among the frame chips.

A pattern can be a frame too. On the New pattern card, select Frame, then the shape. Paint the border and save. The frame is added to the frame chips in every scene, with its shape after its name.

A shared clip keeps its frame.
