Nudge Nudge phase

Slice

Cut a new ring into the model. More rings, more places to shape.

Slice to cut a ring where there isn’t one. It flips the Nudge card over and arms a preview line on the piece: tap to place it, drag to move it. The line snaps to whole grid blocks, and dragging between two existing cuts takes the half-step so you can always split a segment. Press Cut and the new ring is cut in and already selected, ready to nudge. Slice is the first tool in the Nudge card’s coral Remove row:

Cut
Tapping Slice flips the card and arms a preview line. This is a boxy piece.

Cut direction

Chips pick the direction of the cut:

  • Across: a flat, horizontal belt.
  • ↔ Side and ⤢ Front: standing hoops, for boxy pieces.
  • Middle: appears on round pieces only. The line runs straight through the core, like cutting a pie. Drag on the piece to spin it around in 15° notches.

Round pieces (spheres, donuts) offer just Across and Middle, the two cuts that stay clean on a curved surface.

While the Middle line is armed you can also take a wedge right out of the piece: see Take a slice . The ← arrow backs out of Slice without cutting.
