Bend

Mark a bend area with two taps, from the part's line on Rig. The part curls.

Bend makes a part curl. Without it the part swings as one rigid piece. The control is Bend area, in the part’s line on Rig .

Set the bend area

Use Bend area to mark where the part curls. Open Animate › Rig, tap the part’s line under Its parts, then tap Bend area. Tap Set the bend area. Tap the part twice on the stage: first where the bend begins (below that point it stays rigid), then the tip. The button reads Tap where the bend begins…, then Tap to set the tip. Dots mark the two points, joined by a line.

Bend area, open inside a part's line on Rig. Tap the button, then tap the part twice.

A part that is playing cannot take a bend area. The line reads Stop its move first.

The Bend slider

With an area set, the Bend slider on Pose by hand curls the part between the two points, up to 120° either way (a tail, a stem, an antenna). Moving Bend with no area set shows the line Set the bend area first: two taps mark it.

Bend is also a keyframe slider. Under Keyframes on a part at the foot of Move sets , keep a straight keyframe and a curled keyframe, tap ▶ Play, and the part waves.

On Preset moves , Wiggle, the Bend point slider on Sway, and the Wag gesture set a bend area on their own when the part has none.

Clearing the area

With an area set, the button reads Clear the bend area. Tap it and the part is rigid again.
