The Camera & sharing

Files to a computer

Every file is sent through the share sheet. Save it, send it, or open it again.

On an iPad or Android device, every file Ünflat makes opens your device’s share sheet: a .glb, a .lowpoly, a clothing .png, a photo, a backup. Select where it goes. On the web, the browser downloads the file. A short Share sound plays when a file is sent, at the Sound effects volume set in Settings.

Getting it to a computer

Save the file to Files, AirDrop it to a Mac, or send it to yourself in a message or email, then open it on the computer. A cloud folder such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive shows the file on the computer the next time you open that folder there.

Roblox Studio runs on a computer. Move the file to the computer, then open it with the Studio plugin .

Getting a file back in

Ünflat opens its own files: .fig, .scene, .set, .pattern, and .unflat. There are two ways to open one:

  • Tap Open a file on the New fig or New scene card.
  • Tap the file outside the app. On an iPad or iPhone, tap it in the Files app. On Android, tap it in a file manager and select Ünflat. A file from AirDrop or a message opens the same way.

A .fig opens in the fig editor and a .scene opens in the scene editor. Anything else is added to its shelf. A .scene includes its figs, patterns, and sets. A .unflat holds several things at once: a whole-library backup, or the pieces you selected in the library. See Backups . Old files named .flatling, .diorama, or .kit still open.

A .lowpoly file is one-way: it is made for the Roblox Studio plugin, and the app cannot open it again. The same goes for .glb, .usdz, .stl, and .png. Keep the fig it came from.

Sending several at once

In the library, tap Select on the toolbar, select the cards, then tap Export. One selected card exports as its own file. Several export as one .unflat named after the count (3-figs.unflat), with everything a selected scene uses included. Open it on any device with Ünflat and a message says what was added: 3 things landed on your shelves.

A .pattern file

A .pattern file holds one pattern with its tiles and its kind. Open one on any device with Ünflat and it is added to the Patterns shelf.

Animation in the .glb

A fig with move sets exports one animation clip per set, named after the set, with every moving part and its idle moves. A fig without sets exports one clip named after the fig. Clips loop. See Export a .glb .
