Your artist name
Sign in with Apple, Google, or email, then roll a name or type your own.
You need an account to applaud, star, share, or report. The first time you tap one of those, the join sheet opens:
- Join the community: three buttons, each with its mark. Continue with Apple (the Apple logo) comes first, then Continue with Google, then Continue with email. Apple and Google need no password. Continue with email opens an email field and a password field. A new email makes the account, and the password needs six letters or more. Tap Continue. A wrong password or a bad email shows a message.
- Setup step: Are you 13 or older? Tap Yes, I am 13 or older. or Not yet. The community is for people 13 and up. Not yet shows a note that says so and goes no further. Everything else in the app works without an account.
- Pick your name: two words and a number (@Maple-Otter-42). Tap a tile to reroll it, then tap Start. If someone has that number, the app rolls a new one.
- Final step, once per device: Show me or Keep it hidden for mature work.
A newsletter tick box is on the name step. It stays off unless you tick it.
Typing your own name
Under the tiles, Or type your own takes a typed name in place of the rolled one. Typing greys the tiles. Tapping a tile clears the field. The button uses the name you changed last.
- 3 to 20 characters: letters, numbers, and dashes. A dash goes between letters, never first, last, or doubled.
- Capitals do not make a new name. Maple and maple are one name.
- The field checks as you type and shows free ✓ or taken.
- Some names are not allowed. The field says Invalid input. Try another.
Your @name shows on your shares, in remix credits, and beside your applause.
Managing it later
The Settings window’s Account tab shows your @name, your star points, and your avatar.
- New name opens the name picker again, tiles and typed field both. Its button reads That’s me and Not now keeps the name you have.
- Select avatar asks Which fig is you? and draws that fig small beside your name. It appears on every share.
- Sign out signs out.
Show mature stuff in the community is a switch, per device. Under it are the notification switches (in the app on an iPhone, an iPad, or an Android device), the rows for your page , hidden makers, and account deletion. The cloud sync buttons are on the Settings window’s Library tab.
Everything else in Ünflat works without an account: making, scenes, patterns, remixing, and export.
