Create an accessory

Build a fig for one of eight Roblox accessory slots and check it before export.

An accessory is a fig that attaches to a Roblox avatar: a hat, hair, a backpack, or a shoulder pet. Build it as any other fig, then select its slot at export.

The slots

The export card lists eight slots: Hat, Hair, Face, Neck, Shoulder, Front, Back, and Waist. Each slot allows a different amount of room and has its own default size (a backpack gets more room than glasses).

The checkup

The export card checks the fig before you download and names what it finds:

  • One piece. A fig made of several parts gets a warning. The plugin welds the parts together, but the Marketplace prefers one piece.
  • Closed shapes. An open edge is a hole. The checkup names the part and counts its open edges. An edge shared by three or more faces gets a warning too.
  • Triangles. The limit for an accessory is 4,000 triangles. The card shows the count.
  • Thickness. A fig that is flat on one side fails. Roblox needs volume.
  • Size. A fig larger than the slot allows fails. One far smaller or far larger than suits a body gets a warning.

Accessories always export faceted. The Shading setting applies to the app and the .glb export, not the accessory.

Size

The export is sized for the selected slot: the fig’s footprint is scaled to a size measured from a Roblox body. Tap Check the size to view it on a mannequin and move one slider. The size you set there is the size that exports. The fig itself does not change.

The full card is on Roblox accessories . When it fits, go to Export accessories to Roblox .
