Written walkthrough
Uploading moves your accessory from Studio into your Roblox inventory, so your real avatar can wear it in any game. It costs real Robux, and uploads are forever, so this walkthrough front-loads the sharp edges.
1. Know the costs first
One upload costs 80 Robux, and it is not refunded if moderation says no. Uploading is not selling: wearing your own creation stops here, with no memberships and no extra verification. Selling on the Marketplace is its own walkthrough with its own bills. Numbers move, so check Roblox’s official fees page the day you upload.
2. Thumbnail before anything
An uploaded asset is frozen: the item and its thumbnail can never be changed afterward. A mistake means removing it and paying another 80 Robux for a fresh upload. So finish the accessory completely with the Fitting Tool, and set a custom thumbnail before you upload. Then look at it one more time.
3. Save to Roblox
Your item must be a real Accessory object (the Fitting Tool makes one; a plain model won’t do). Right-click it in the Explorer and pick Save to Roblox. Choose Submit As: Avatar Asset, pick the accessory type from the dropdown, name it honestly, and submit. That’s the moment the 80 Robux leaves.
4. The dropdown gate and moderation
If the accessory type dropdown isn’t there at all, nothing is broken: your account hasn’t passed Roblox’s creator check yet. Roblox wants ID verification or a linked parental account before it lets anyone upload. Sort that out in account settings and come back.
After submitting, moderation can take up to 24 hours. When it approves, the accessory is in your inventory: put it on in the Roblox app and wear it into any game.
One look note: the Marketplace requires accessories to use Roblox’s Plastic material, which has a slight shine of its own. Roblox lighting won’t match Ünflat’s Toybox or Clean look exactly, and that’s Roblox being Roblox, not something broken.
