Roblox: upload your accessory

Video coming soon. The written walkthrough below is the whole build.

Written walkthrough

Upload your accessory from Studio into your Roblox inventory so your avatar can wear it in any game. It costs Robux, and an upload cannot be changed afterward.

1. Know the costs first

One upload costs 80 Robux, and it is not refunded if moderation rejects it. Uploading is not selling: wearing your own creation needs no membership and no extra verification. Selling on the Marketplace is its own walkthrough with its own costs. Numbers change; check Roblox’s official fees page the day you upload.

2. Set the thumbnail first

An uploaded asset is final: the item and its thumbnail cannot be changed afterward. To fix a mistake you remove it and pay another 80 Robux for a new upload. Finish the accessory with the Fitting Tool, set a custom thumbnail before you upload, and check it once more.

3. Save to Roblox

The item must be an Accessory object (the Fitting Tool makes one; a plain Model does not count). Right-click it in the Explorer and select Save to Roblox. Choose Submit As: Avatar Asset, select the accessory type from the dropdown, give it an accurate name, and submit. The 80 Robux is charged at this point.

4. The missing dropdown and moderation

If the accessory type dropdown is missing, your account has not passed Roblox’s creator check. Roblox requires ID verification or a linked parental account before anyone can upload. Set that up in account settings and return.

After submitting, moderation can take up to 24 hours. When it approves, the accessory is in your inventory; put it on in the Roblox app and wear it into any game.

The Marketplace requires accessories to use Roblox’s Plastic material, which has a slight shine. Roblox lighting will not match any of Ünflat’s looks; that is Roblox’s material, not a broken export.

Selling adds 2-step verification, a publishing advance, and a paid membership. The Marketplace walkthrough lists the costs.
